1. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum amount of data needed to run the service:

• Account details : name, email address, and subscription status.
• Content you provide : topics, text, exercise answers, and images you submit for processing, plus videos, audio, subtitles, or vocabulary lists you choose to save.
• Push-notification information : if you use the mobile app, our notification provider receives a non-email account identifier, your interface language, a push token, and technical device and app information needed to deliver notifications.
• Usage information : anonymized identifiers (such as the anon_id cookie), page paths, interface language, account and subscription-state flags, device/browser attributes, and activity logs that help us understand feature usage, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues. We do not send your name, email address, form contents, or submitted learning content to our optional analytics provider.
• Payment data : handled directly by Stripe. We never store full payment card numbers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process data only for legitimate business purposes:

• Providing speech synthesis, translation, and vocabulary features you request.
• Operating accounts, subscriptions, and transactional emails.
• Understanding product usage, improving reliability, combating misuse, and fulfilling legal obligations.
• Communicating product updates or responding to your support questions.

3. Cookies & Local Storage

We use essential cookies such as anon_id and session cookies so the service can authenticate you, enforce daily limits, and remember your language preferences. If you select Accept in our cookie notice, Mixpanel may use browser storage to maintain a pseudonymous analytics identifier. We do not load Mixpanel before you consent. You can reject optional analytics without affecting core functionality. Blocking essential storage in your browser may prevent parts of the service from working.

4. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell personal data. We share information only with trusted processors that help us deliver the service. They process information only to provide their services to us.

• Product analytics : if you consent, Mixpanel processes pseudonymous page-view and product-usage events. We disable session replay, automatic interaction capture, and IP-based geolocation, and do not identify you to Mixpanel using your name or email address.
• AI, translation, and speech providers : text you submit, text extracted from an image, and text used to create spoken audio may be sent to providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft Azure, or ElevenLabs when you request those features. A selected image is uploaded to our servers for text extraction; we do not send the image itself to an external AI provider in the current text-scanning flow.
• Push notifications : OneSignal processes the information described above to associate your devices with your account and deliver notifications. You can decline notification permission in the app or disable notifications in your device settings.
• Payments : Stripe, Apple, or Google processes purchase and subscription information, depending on where you subscribe. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number.
• Core operations : hosting, storage, authentication, and email-delivery providers process the account and technical information required to operate and secure the service.

5. Data Retention & Security

We keep personal information only as long as necessary to provide the service or meet legal requirements. Saved videos and vocabulary entries remain in your account until you delete them or close your account. We use encryption in transit, strict access controls, and regular monitoring to protect your information; however, no online service can guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights & Choices

You can:

• Update account details under Account settings .
• Request deletion of saved content or your entire account.
• Opt out of optional emails by using the unsubscribe link or contacting us directly.
• Contact us to access, correct, or restrict the processing of your data.
